Island Girl is proud to support the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO).
The Island Girl Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay & 5K was created just for women and promises a lively, "Caribbean-style" running and walking event on a fast, scenic course on Toronto Island. This event is a great opportunity to compete, have fun and raise money for POGO.

About 4,000 families are currently going through active treatment or follow up care in Ontario. Events in support of POGO will help these families with the unexpected out-of-pocket costs associated with a childhood cancer diagnosis. Survivors that face learning challenges as a result of their disease and/or treatment are moving on to college or university with the help of POGO counsellors. And POGO research is asking the types of questions that will benefit these young cancer patients, their families and survivors in Ontario and around the world.
