Fundraising Help​

We truly appreciate your commitment to bettering the lives of kids with cancer, their families and survivors by hosting an event on behalf of POGO.

To express our appreciation, we would love to help in the following ways:

  • Provide a dedicated staff member to answer questions, offer support​ and show you how best to navigate our online fundraising software
  • Provide a letter of support to be used to validate the authenticity of the event and its organizers (for purposes other than sponsorship solicitation)
  • Provide supplies that support your fundraising efforts, including POGO brochures, posters, videos, photos and logo where approved
  • Promote your event on our website and through our social media channels


Here are some Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How do I handle cash donations?
A: You can manage cash donations through your Participant Page. Login and go to 'Manage my page' by hovering over your photo in the right hand corner. Go to 'Fundraising Tools' in the left hand menu and open the 'Enter Cash/Checks' tab at the top of the page. When you collect cash donations, you can enter the amount with the donor's email address. You then use your own credit card to submit the full amount of the donation. You keep the cash and the donor receives their electronic receipt immediately.

Q: How do I handle check donations?

You can manage check donations through your Participant Page. Login and go to 'Manage my page' by hovering over your photo in the right hand corner.
Go the 'Fundraising Tools' in the left hand menu and open the 'Enter Cash/Checks' tab at the top of the page. When you collect check donations, you can enter the amount with the donor's email address. The check amount will automatically be added to your fundraising total, but will show as 'Unconfirmed.' Once POGO receives and confirms the check, the status of your check donation will change to 'Confirmed.' The donor receives their electronic receipt once the donation has been confirmed.

Q: How do donors get donation receipts?

A: Donors who make their donations online will receive an automated email receipt upon the completion of the transaction. Donors who give you a cash or check donation will receive an electronic email receipt if you enter their email address when you enter their donation. If they don't provide you with an email address, then they will receive an acknowledgment letter from POGO within 60 days.

Q: My donor or I selected “Anonymous” when making a donation but now would like the donation to show. What do I do?
A: Contact us at events@pogo.ca. and we can make the adjustment for you.

Q: How do I get Corporate Matching Gifts?
A: Some employers will match you and your supporters’ donations. It’s an easy way to double your efforts so it's worth checking out, just ask your human resources department! 

Q: I need help or I am in a rush. Can you help me set up my event page?
